Geeta is a bright child!

Geeta’s father, Sukhlal, and her elder brother work as welders in a shop. They migrated from a village in Kanpur district to the main city of Kanpur.  Her mother, Ramsiya, is a house wife. Two of her younger siblings also have been a part of the Apna Skool network and are now enrolled in regular schools.

For someone who was initially reluctant to go to school, Geeta is today one of the brightest pupils of her class. She did her initial schooling in an Apna Skool centre in Kanpur till fifth grade and then was enrolled in a regular mainstream school. Geeta is now in the tenth grade. Whenever possible, she also takes the initiative to help and guide younger children in their lessons.
